hello brussels

The theatre piece I started to write two years ago in Ireland is now finding a new life in Belgium.

I was selected for a one week writing residency (“Pharmacie de mots et de sons”) in Maison poème, a cultural institution in Brussels. Residencies offer a rare occasion, precious space and time, for artists to experiment and focus on their art. During mine I was lucky to work on the first draft of my new play (based on THE BIG CHOP, my previous one) in my native language this time. I also met and discussed extensively with journalists, actors, filmmakers, poets who identify with the topics of my play.
